Mrs. Patricia Rash Shupe, 75, of Statesville, died Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Born in Iredell County on May 15, 1940, she was a daughter of the late Daniel Webster Rash, Sr., and Angie Cloer Rash. She was a loving mother and grandmother and was a member of Sharon Lutheran Church. She formerly worked as a beautician, then for J.P. Stevens. and prior to retirement worked at Thorlo. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Dairel Lee Shupe and a son, Thomas Sharpe, Jr. Survivors include daughters: Anita Miller (Allen) of Statesville, Catrina Renegar (Wayne) of Yadkinville, sons: Jeffrey Sharpe of the home and Andy Sharpe of Statesville, along with a brother, Thomas Cloer (Jean) of Union Grove and a sister, Maxine Bissaillon (Cal) of Jacksonville, Fla. Also surviving are grandchildren: Steven Sharpe, Amber Miller, Wayne Sharpe, Avery Sharpe, Dana Sharpe, Drew Sharpe, Dekota Sharpe and Cazwyn Renegar and great grandchildren, Maxwell and Jaxson. Services celebrating Mrs. Shupe's life will be conducted at 4:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at Sharon Lutheran Church with Pastor Gene Bruce officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7:00 until 9:00 P.M. at Nicholson Funeral Home.
