Patricia Gail Pitts Thompson

Patricia Gail Pitts Thompson, age 76, of Lexington, NC, passed away on Friday, September 30, 2022, at Hinkle Hospice House. She was born on September 16, 1946, in Virginia Mines, AL and was the adopted daughter of the late Willie W. Pitts and Maybell K. Pitts.

Patricia was a devoted Christian woman who was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She had a talent for latch hooking rugs and loved her coloring books. In her earlier years, she enjoyed playing the piano. Patricia loved and cherished her "fur babies."

In addition to her adopted parents, Willie W. Pitts and Maybell K. Pitts, she was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Earl Wallace Thompson, Jr.; her brother, Leroy Myers; and her adopted siblings, Rebecca Ray and Willie Randle Pitts.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Iris Goodwin, Patricia Hull (Rodney), Jerry Goodwin, Tina Tucker (TJ), Tanya Davis (Jonathan), and Kevin Goodwin (Lisa); grandchildren, Kandice, Patrick, Chuck, Hagan, Michelle, Nicholas, Madison, Stormieraye, China, Justin, Matthew, Brandon, Tyler, and Carson; 12 great-grandchildren; and brother, Kenneth Myers (Mary Alice).

A Celebration of her Life will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, October 8, 2022, at Freedom Baptist Church with Pastor Clyde Ackers officiating.
