Patricia Joan Burton

Patricia Joan Burton, a beloved member of her family and community, passed away peacefully from natural causes on January 22, 2025, in Statesville, North Carolina. Born on December 26, 1947, in Connellsville, Fayette County, Pennsylvania, she lived a life marked by devotion to her family and her faith. At the age of 77, Patricia leaves behind a legacy of kindness and quiet strength.

In her professional life, Patricia served with dedication as a secretary in Washington, DC, before retiring. Her meticulous nature and unwavering commitment to her work were appreciated by all who knew her.

Patricia was preceded in death by her cherished siblings: sister Betty Burton, and brothers John, James, Ronald, and William Burton. She is survived by her dear sister, Linda Burton of Connellsville, PA; her loving nieces, Deidre and Erika Burton of Connellsville, PA; and her devoted nephews, Bryan Burton of Newport News, VA, and James and Justin Burton of New Hampshire. Additionally, she leaves behind her stepdaughter, Lafreda Renwick, of Statesville, NC.

A woman of deep faith, Patricia was Baptist by belief and found great comfort and guidance throughout her life in her spiritual convictions.

As per her wishes, interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that those who wish to honor Patricia's memory do so by cherishing their loved ones and embracing the simple joys of life, as she always did.
