Pastor Buster Treadaway

Pastor Buster Treadaway, 93, of Hiddenite, died Sunday, December 1, 2019 at his home divorcing his walker and moving up to his new home. Born in Alexander County on July 29, 1926, he was a son of the late Nick Treadaway and Lue Sowers Treadaway. On January 24, 1947, he married his wife of 72 years, the former Evelyn Barlow who survives.

Pastor Treadaway pastored several local churches.

Survivors in addition to his wife include sons, John and Michael Treadaway and a daughter, Diane Treadaway. Also surviving are a daughter-in-law, eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

Private graveside services were held at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church Cemetery on Tuesday, December 3rd.
