Nylene Johnson

Mrs. Nylene Templeton Johnson, 78, of Harmony, passed away, Saturday, September 9, 2017 at the Gordon Hospice House. Mrs. Johnson was born August 10, 1939 in Iredell County and was the daughter of the late Clark and Lala Wall Templeton. She attended Iredell County schools and on December 22, 1956, she married the love of her life Frank Gene Johnson, who survives. She was a member of Union Grove Christian Church and was a caregiver for many people. She was a great cook, loved her church family and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her husband of 60 years, she is survived by two daughters, Loretta Cline (Shannon) of Union Grove, Anita Steele (Steve) of Harmony, four grandchildren, Barry Anderson (Heather), Brandon Anderson (Sherry), Justin Barnes, Morgan Williams (Jordan); five great grandchildren, Dakota, Stetson, Ty, Hayley, Bransen and one sister, Imogene Renegar. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one infant daughter, Sheila Annette Johnson. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at Union Grove Christian Church with Rev. Allen Lunsford officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Wednesday from 1:00-2:00p.m. at the church.
