Nora Wilson

Nora Bess Pharr Wilson, 87, of Statesville, passed away Friday, August 12, 2011 at Autumn Care in Statesville. Ms. Wilson was born August 10, 1924 in the New Hope Township of Statesville and was the daughter of the late John C. Pharr and Lottie Goodwin Pharr. Ms. Wilson was a graduate of Central High School class of 1942 following graduation, she moved to Charlotte, N.C. where she began her career and attended Kings College. She was married to Harold E. Wilson, who preceded her in death. Ms. Wilson was employed with Statesville Roofing and Heating where she worked as a book keeper and office manager. She was a member of the American Business Women's Association, having held multiple offices and in 1983 she was the ABWA Woman of the Year. Ms. Wilson was further preceded in death by a brother, Halton C. Pharr and a grandson, Alan Feimster. She is survived by one daughter, Betty W. Smyth of Salisbury; one grandson, Scott Feimster and wife Amy, of Troutman; one grand-daughter-in-law, Liana Puscas of Durham, NC; one great-grandson, Jacob Feimster and two great-granddaughters, Molly Feimster and Mary Claire Feimster, all of Troutman. Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 pm Sunday, August 14, 2011, in the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Will Anderson officiating.
