Nancy Sharpe Mckee

Nancy Sharpe McKee, 87 (born Nancy McKee Sharpe), died Monday, October 5, 2015 in Cary, N.C. Born in Iredell County on February 26, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Dr. Frank Louis Sharpe and Mary Ellen Privette Sharpe. Nancy was preceded in death by siblings: Mary Frank Sharpe Morrison, Sara Elizabeth Sharpe, Fannie McKee Sharpe (B.C. Hinshaw), and Frank Louis Sharpe, Jr. She was a granddaughter of Col. Silas Alexander Sharpe. Nancy graduated in 1946 from Statesville High School. She was in the service from 1949 to 1950 and was honorably discharged. She worked at the DC General Hospital approximately 30 years from 1962 to 1992 as an administrator. She loved and adored her father and respected and loved the history of her family, the Sharpe's, Privette's and McKee's. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 P.M.
