Mrs. Margaree Haithcox Neely

Margaree Haithcox Neely, 95, of Statesville, died Saturday, February 22, 2020 at Autumn Care of Statesville. Born in Catawba County on January 18, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Calvin Scott Haithcox and Hessie Smith Haithcox.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold E. Neely, and a daughter-in-law, Dawn Neely.

She was a 1943 graduate of Cool Spring High School and was a homemaker. She will be fondly remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She provided lifelong countless memories for her family and always loved to make everyone laugh.

She was loved by everyone and will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing here. We love and miss you Mom.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Scott Neely (Melody), Mary Jane Rash (Nathan), Thomas Neely and Susan Lippard (Kevin), along with a sister, Pauline Burdette. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.

A time of greeting friends and celebrating Margaree's life will be held from 5:30 until 7:00 P.M. on Monday, February 24, 2020 at Nicholson Funeral Home.
