Mrs. Harriet Morrison Foster

Mrs. Harriet Morrison Foster, of North Race Street, passed away on Monday, September 30, 2019 at her residence. She was born on August 30, 1936 in Statesville, North Carolina, and was the daughter of the late Thomas Andrew Morrison Sr. and Annie L. Morrison. On July 20, 1968 she was married to Robert L. Foster. Mrs. Foster was a 1954 graduate of Morningside High School. She attended North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro, N.C. She was employed in the Iredell-Statesville School System for 41 years and retired from Alan D. Rutherford School on July 1, 1996. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church where she served as a former Chalice Bearer, Oblation Bearer, Chancel Choir, Altar Guild, Pastoral Care Committee and the Cooking Team. She was a member of Malissa Chapter No. 8 Order of the Eastern Star having served as Past Worthy Matron, Star Point, and other offices.
