Mrs. Debra Cook Luffman

Mrs. Debra Cook Luffman, 56, of Stony Point, died Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at the Gordon Hospice House. Born in Iredell County on November 1, 1962, she was a daughter of the late Donald Cook and Carolyn Combs Cook who survives. She was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church and enjoyed being "Nana".

She was preceded in death by a son, Jeremy Luffman on May 28, 2017 along with a sister Diane McMillan.

Survivors in addition to her mother, include her husband, Barry Jeffrey Luffman, a son, Donald Jeffrey Luffman and his wife, Allison, a daughter, Jessica St. John and her husband, John and a half sister, Karen Bell and her husband, John. Additional survivors include grandchildren: Jesse and Mikael Luffman, Holly St. John, Kyleigh Luffman and Kaleigha Luffman.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Sunday July 7, 2019 at Shady Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Talmadge Hollar and Rev. Conley Matlock officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends Saturday evening at Nicholson Funeral Home from 6:30 to 8:30 P.M.
