Kerry Vinson

Mr. Kerry Dane Vinson, 71, of Statesville, died Friday, August 9, 2019 at his home. Born in Iredell County on August 5, 1948, he was a son of the late Charles Payne Vinson and Rachel Nicholson Vinson. On April 8, 1967 he married the former Linda Guigou who survives.

Mr. Vinson was an avid golfer, fisherman and sharpshooter and was well known for raising delicious tomatoes. He retired from Fiber Industries as a computer engineer and graduated from Harmony High School and Rowan Tech. He was a member of the Believers Faith Center.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Theron Vinson, 3 grandchildren: Mackenzie Vinson, Sterling Matthew Vinson and Zachary Vinson along with two brothers, J. R. (Randy) Vinson and Curtis Vinson (Marilyn).

Services celebrating Mr. Vinson's life will be conducted today (Sunday) at 3:00 P.M. at the Believers Faith Center with Pastor Mike Bivens officiating. The family will greet friends at the church for one hour prior to the service.
