Mr. Herbert Lee Miller

October 11, 1934 — January 20, 2022

Mr. Herbert Lee Miller, 87, of Statesville, died January 20, 2022 at Iredell Memorial Hospital. Born October 11, 1934 in Boston, Georgia, he was a son of the late Thomas I. Miller and Pearl Roper Miller.

Mr. Miller enjoyed camping and was the president of the Statesville Cruisers camping group for three years in a row. He also greatly enjoyed boating on Lake Norman and the Intercoastal Waterway. He was a member of Front St. Baptist Church. He retired from Clark Equipment in 1992. Then he worked at Wooten Trucking for twelve years, and then retired from Wooten's in April of 2004.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Roy W. Miller, T.A. Miller, and sister Betty M. Young. Also, daughter-in-law Patricia Bennett Miller.

Family members include his wife, Marcia Miller, a son, William (Bill) Miller, a daughter, Betty M. Spruill (Jerry) and a brother, Henry A. Miller (Carolene).

Graveside services are scheduled for Friday January 28 ,2022 at 11:00 A.M. at Oakwood Cemetery in Statesville NC, with Rev. Tim Stutts officiating.

Front St. Statesville, N.C. 28677, or to the Lake Norman Humane Society, 110 Robinson Rd., Mooresville, N.C. 28117. Nicholson Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
