Mr. Arthur Chapman Weber Sr.

Mr. Arthur Chapman Weber, Sr., 91, of Statesville, died Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Genesis of Mooresville. Born in Rockville Centere, New York on December 7, 1927, he was a son of the late Joseph George Weber, Sr. and Irene Myers Weber. He was a member of St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church where he was also a member of the Knights Of Columbus, and served in the U. S. Navy. He was a retired Nassau County, New York police officer and was a sharpshooter and firearm instructor. He was also a retired volunteer firefighter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Weber and siblings: Joseph Weber, Betty Hans, Mary Peschock, George Weber and Alice Shook.

Survivors include his wife, the former Marion Catherine Stephenson, whom he was married to for 68 years, his children: Arthur C. Weber, Jr., Alison Vasco (Donald), Daniel Weber (Lynda), Catherine (Kitty) Pape (John), Marion (Muffett) Weber, Paul Weber (Diantha), Adam Weber (Jennifer), Maria McNeely (David), Matthew Weber (Monic) and Patrick Weber. Also surviving is a brother, John Weber along with 21 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday at St. Philip The Apostle Catholic Church with Father Thomas Kessler officiating. The family will greet friends Sunday afternoon at Nicholson Funeral Home from 3:00 to 5:00 P.M. Burial will follow the funeral at Iredell Memorial Gardens with full military rites presented by the Iredell County Veterans Council Burial Detail. The Patriot Guard will escort Mr. Weber from the church to the cemetery.
