Monroe Hedrick

James Monroe Hedrick, 81, of Statesville, passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at Iredell Memorial Hospital. Mr. Hedrick was born March 31, 1930 in Iredell County and was the son of the late Jesse Hedrick and Lizzie Campbell Hedrick. He attended Iredell County Schools and in 1951 he married Lucille Moose Hedrick, who survives. Mr. Hedrick was retired from Southern Screw where he worked as an assistant foreman. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hedrick was preceded in death by a son, Barry Hedrick, a brother, Johnny Hedrick and a son-in-law, Joel A. Love. Along with his wife, Lucille M. Hedrick of the home, Mr. Hedrick is also survived by a daughter, Joyce H. Love of Statesville; one sister, Kay Bustle along with three brothers, Tony, Eddie and Huey Hedrick. He is further survived by a host of nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be conducted 7:00 pm Monday, September 19, 2011, in the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mitchell Rash officiating. Burial will be at a later date in the Iredell Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will speak with friends following the service at Nicholson Funeral Home.
