Monica Clear Kiser

Monica Clear Whitson Kiser, RN, 54, of Statesville, passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at her residence. She was born in Mentor, Ohio on April 22, 1963 to the late Charles William Clear and Doris Lillian Patterson Clear. Monica was a graduate of Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing and had been a Registered Nurse with Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory. She was married on August 3, 2012 to Shannon Kiser, who survives. Monica was a member of Calvary Full Gospel Church in Elkin, N.C. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Shannon; son, Patrick Whitson (Chelsie) of Cleveland, NC; granddaughter, Alice Amelia-Gray Whitson; a brother, Michael W. Clear (Cathy) of Lexington Park, MD; and four sisters, Michelle Gibbons, Maureen Clear, Mary C. Brown (Rocky), all of Bennettsville, SC, and Marcia Harris (Mark) of Iron Station, NC. and the family pet, Dante. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, June 17th at the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.Gene Casstevens and Rev.Mark Kiser officiating. A graveside service will be held later at the Kiser Family Cemetery in Hazel Mountain, Va. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Nicholson Funeral Home.
