Minnie York

Minnie Lou Conrad York, 93, of Statesville, died Monday, July 4, 2011 at Autumn Care of Mocksville. Mrs. York was born Feb. 20, 1918 in Iredell County and was the daughter of the late Fannie York Conrad. She attended Iredell County schools, was married to the late Hubert M. York and worked for J.P. Stevens Co. She is survived by one sister, Geraldine Haynes of Wilmington, NC, one sister-in-law, Elizabeth L. York of Harmony, special friends, John and Lola Hellard of Mocksville and several nieces and nephews. Graveside funeral services will be conducted 3:30 p.m. Friday, July 8, 2011 at Iredell Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Evangalist John Hellard officiating. Burial will follow in the Iredell Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening 6:00-7:00 p.m. at Nicholson Funeral Home.
