Mildred Alexander

Mildred Stevenson Alexander, 105, born November 10, 1910 died at The Gardens, Monday, April 11, 2016. Mrs. Alexander was born in Iredell County to the late William Ross Stevenson and Janie Patterson Stevenson. She was a graduate of Iredell County schools and was a member of Concord Presbyterian Church. On December 3, 1939, she was married to the late Cecil R. Alexander. Mrs. Alexander is survived by two daughters, Karol Johnson (Thomas) of Beaufort, SC and Sylvia Harris (Richard) of Greer, SC; grandchildren, Michael Johnson (Dawn) of Greensboro, Taryn J. Church (Donald) of Keller, TX, Suzanne H. Jaco (Ryan) of Dallas, TX and two great grandchildren, Aaron and Grant Jaco. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Francis and Ewell Stevenson and two sisters, Mary Faye Stevenson and Hazel Stevenson Starnes. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 15, 2016 at Concord Presbyterian Church with Rev. Kyle Goodman officiating. The family will visit with friends following the service. A private family burial will be held before the service.
