Michael Thomas Chambers

Michael "Mike" Thomas Chambers, 65, of Statesville, passed away Friday, December 4, 2015 as a result of an automobile accident. He was born in Iredell County on May 4, 1950 to the late James Kenneth and Johnsie Minnie Goodman Chambers. Mr. Chambers was educated in the Iredell County Schools. He was a retired truck driver and was of Baptist faith. He was a loving father, a good friend to many and will be missed dearly by all that knew him. A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. J. B. Parker officiating. A private family burial will be held at a later date. The family will visit with friends following the service. Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Paula C. Giddings of Stony Point; a granddaughter, Victoria Chambers; a grandson, Arren Giddings; a sister, Sue Campbell of Statesville; a brother, Jim Chambers of Lake Norman; and several nieces and nephews.
