Michael Dwayne Jenkins

Michael Dwayne Jenkins, 55, of Statesville, died Sunday, June 4, 2017 at his home after many years of declining health. Mr. Jenkins was born April 5, 1962 to Lucille Grant Jenkins and the late Glen Albert Jenkins. He attended West Iredell High School and was disability retired as a delivery driver for Merita Bread. Prior to his disability, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding his motorcycle. On August 18, 2000 Mike married Lynne Jenkins, who survives. Also surviving is his daughter, April Jenkins of Statesville, a son, David Jenkins of the home, a step-daughter, Tiffany Burchette, a step-son, Robert Burchette both of Elkin, 2 sisters, Teresa Sigmon (Glenn), Robin Adkins (Darren), 3 nieces, 1 nephew, 3 great nephews and 1 great niece all of Statesville. A Memorial Service to celebrate Mike's life will be held Saturday, June 10, 2017, at 11:00 am at Bright Light Baptist Church with Rev. Jason Fox and Steven Hamm officiating.
