Melanie Elliott Blackwell

Melanie Elliott Blackwell, 45 of Statesville, died Friday, September 27, 2024, at her home following a period of declining health.

She was born in Chatham County, Georgia, to Danny Elliott and Sybil Tayes Elliott.

Melanie had a big heart and loved people and animals. She loved traveling, hiking, canoeing, going to the beach and skydiving.

Those left to cherish her memory include her parents, Danny and Sybil Elliott, a special aunt, Carol Benfield, and many cousins and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 6, 2024, at 3:00 at the North Iredell Rescue Squad building. The family will visit with friends from 2:00 to 3:00 prior to the service.
