Maryellen Mcgrath

Mrs. MaryEllen Lucier McGrath, 71, of Statesville, passed away Friday, May 8, 2015 at Rosewood Assisted Living. She was born in Clearfield, PA on May 26, 1943 to the late Emery and Mildred Adkins Lucier. Mrs. McGrath was a graduate of St. Vincents Hospital of Nursing. She was a Registered Nurse who retired from Davis Hospital. On Dec. 8, 1979, she married Joseph Francis McGrath, who survives. They had over 35 years of marriage before her passing. She was a faithful member of St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Joseph; two daughters, Maureen and Helen McGrath; three sons, Michael, Chuck, and Joseph McGrath; nine grandchildren; and one great grandchild. A Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church with Father Thomas Kessler officiating. Burial will follow at New Perth Cemetery in Troutman. The family will visit with friends Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Nicholson Funeral Home.
