Marlene Smith Warren, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and cherished member of her community, passed away peacefully at her residence on March 11, 2025, following a brief illness. Born on February 13, 1938, in Detroit, Michigan, Marlene spent her life dedicated to both her family and her community.

Throughout her career, she served as a secretary at Uniglass, where her hard work and dedication were recognized and appreciated by her colleagues. In addition to her professional life, Marlene enjoyed farming alongside her husband, Donald O. Warren, who predeceased her. The couple built a life together that was rooted in love and mutual support.

Marlene was a proud member of Hams Grove Baptist Church, where she nurtured deep connections and contributed to the spiritual life of the congregation for many years. Her faith was integral to her identity, and she poured her heart into helping others within her community. Known as a pillar of the community, Marlene was always there to lend a hand, embodying compassion and generosity in every aspect of her life.

Her hobbies included flower and vegetable gardening, a passion that blossomed beautifully. She found joy in cooking and often shared her culinary creations with family and friends. Marlene was also known for her delightful rides in her golf cart, exploring the beauty of her surroundings.

She is survived by her loving son, Bradley Warren (Candace); her devoted daughter, Beth Warren; and her precious granddaughter, Kayla Reed Smith. The legacy of her kindness and strength will continue to resonate within their hearts and the hearts of all those she touched.

Visitation services will be held at Hams Grove Baptist Church in Statesville, NC, on Friday, March 14, 2025, beginning at 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 3:00 PM. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Family and friends are invited to join in celebrating the life of Marlene Smith Warren, a remarkable woman whose spirit will live on through the love she shared with so many.
