Marlene Jean Haithcox

Marlene Jean Baumgarner Haithcox, 83, of Statesville, shed the bonds of this earth on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at the Gordon Hospice House of Statesville. Jean, as she was known was a kind mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years, Bob Haithcox, and is survived by her children, Pamela Stone and Robert Haithcox, Jr. and wife, Heidi. Mary Williams is her granddaughter, and Bryson, Ryker and Kinsey are her great grandchildren. Jean was a baptized child of Christ, and it is comforting to know that she has now found the Peace that eluded her for many years. Graveside funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 19, 2016 at the Iredell Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Gordon Hospice House and the family would like to thank the staff and doctors at Autumn Care, Iredell Memorial Hospital and the Gordon Hospice House.
