Mark Jason Conaway

Mark Jason Conaway, 44, of Troutman, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at his residence. He was born in Iredell County on January 17, 1971 to the late Gary Paul Conaway, Sr. and Martha Jane Wilkinson Conaway, who survives. Mark was educated in the Iredell County Schools and was self-employed doing small engine repair. He was a loving father, son, brother, and friend who will be missed by all that knew him. Along with his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Paul Conaway Jr. (Jennifer). Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Martha; three daughters, Kami Conaway, Kalry Conaway, and Maile Bragg (Marty); a sister, Michelle Pate (Jamie) of York, SC; two granddaughters, Nohea and Haumea; a grandson, Noah Bragg; a nephew, Justin Carroll (Christine); a niece Monica Archie (Dean); special friend, Lani Fitzgerald; and numerous relatives and friends. There will be a gathering of friends to celebrate Mark's life held 2:00 PM Sunday, November 22, 2015 at his Mother's house, 620 Lake Circle, Troutman, NC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Gordon Hospice House, 2341 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28625.
