Margaret Lee Maynor

Mrs. Margaret Hicks Maynor, 72, of Statesville, passed away, Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at the Gordon Hospice House. Mrs. Maynor was born April 21, 1943 in Cabarrus County and was the daughter of the late Elmer and Ruth Doby Hicks. She was a graduate of Central High School and previously worked many years for Hunter Brothers and Flexnit. On July 11, 2004, she was married to the late Harold E. Maynor and was a member of Bright Light Baptist Church. Mrs. Maynor is survived by a step-daughter, Donna Sanders; three grandchildren, Mark, Crystal and Jason Sanders, three brothers, Grady Hicks (Mary) of Statesville, Charles Hicks (Teresa) of Harmony, Donald Hicks (Becky) of Harmony; one sister, Mary Carol H. Hall (Tommy) of Statesville and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Bright Light Baptist Church with Rev. Keith Bowman and Rev. Jerry Yarboro officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Saturday from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at the church.
