Margaret Lavada Sebastian

Margaret Lavada Lambert Sebastian, 85, of Statesville, passed away Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Autumn Care of Statesville. She was born in Iredell County on August 8, 1932 to the late Lawrence and Effie Elliot Lambert. Margaret was a graduate of Iredell County Schools and was married to James Lester Sebastian, who preceded her in death. She was self-employed cleaning houses with her sister, Mildred Lail for many years and was a member of Bible Baptist Church. Margaret loved crossword puzzles and playing scrabble. Along with her parents and husband, Lester, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Katherine Eades and Mildred Lail. Left to cherish her memory are a son, Danny Sebastian (Bonnie); a granddaughter, Nikki Sebastian Smith (Larry) of Valdosta, GA; a grandson, Brian Sebastian (Jessica); two great grandchildren, Trevor and Pacee Smith; five nieces; and one nephew. Funeral Services will be held 3:00 pm Sunday, October 29, 2017 at the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Charlie Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will visit with friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 2:00 until 3:00 pm.
