Marc Dixon

Mr. Marcus Bennett Dixon, 61, of Stony Point, passed away Monday, December 26, 2011 at Davis Regional Medical Center. Mr. Dixon was born October 3, 1950 in Benham, KY and was the son to the late Arthur Dixon and Ethel Foutch Dixon. Marc graduated from Cumberland High School then earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Urbana University. He proudly served his country as SFC in the U.S. Marine Corp, retiring after 20 years of service. Afterward, he worked as a shift manager with Freightliner, TMP in Cleveland, N.C. until his retirement in 2009. Mr. Dixon was a member of St. Mark Baptist Church and engaged to Angie Goodman, who survives. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers Arthur Dixon, Jr. and Donald R. Dixon.
