Mae Camp Dishman

Mrs. Mae Camp Dishman, 90, of Statesville, passed away Sunday, November 11, 2012, at Gordon Hospice House following a brief illness. Mrs. Dishman was born in Pacolet, S.C. on May 19, 1922 and was the daughter of the late James Virgil and Anna Brotin Camp. She attended the South Carolina School for the Deaf and Blind in Cedar Springs, SC. Mrs. Dishman was married to Raymond Summers Dishman who preceded her in death in 1982. She attended the Salvation Army Home League and she graciously volunteered her time with the Angel Tree and the Salvation Army Christmas Kettle House. Mrs. Dishman was a retired warehouse supervisor at Beauty Maid Mills. Along with her parents and husband, Mrs. Dishman was also preceded in death by two daughters, Valear Pearson and Joyce Ann Williams, a brother, James Virgil Camp, a son-in-law, Bobby Williams, one grandson, Tony Williams and five great-grandchildren, Brian Simpson, Seth Rowland, Reagan Smith and Cheyanne and Branden Russ. Mrs. Dishman is survived by two daughters, Penny Dishman Bustle (Michael) and Robin Pearson (Bobby Brown), both of Harmony, six grandchildren, Terry Dale Williams and Bobbie Jo Williams, both of Statesville, Dianna Williams Rowland (Tyler) of Union Grove, Crystal Pearson (Nick Hartsell) of Statesville and Elizabeth Ann and Michael Caleb Bustle, both of Harmony. She is also survived by one brother, Paul Camp (Jean) along with five sisters, Nellie Gardner, Betty Rathbone, Sue Camp, Alice Camp and Judy Camp. 12 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services for Mrs. Dishman will be conducted 2:00 PM Thursday, November 15, 2012 in the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joe Dellinger officiating. Burial will follow in the Iredell Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Wednesday evening from 6:30 until 8:30 pm at Nicholson Funeral Home. Active pallbearers will be Caleb Bustle, Waite and Tyler Rowland, Ronnie Patterson, Nick Hartsell and Terry Williams.
