M. Corinne Rash

Mable Corinne Cass Rash, 67, of Union Grove, passed away Saturday, April 8, 2017 at her home following an extended and amazing fight with cancer. She was born in Iredell County on March 26, 1950 to the late Horace R. Cass and Ruth York Cass, who survives. Corinne attended Union Grove School and was a graduate of North Iredell High School Class of 1968. She married Allen Ray Rash on April 4, 1970 and they shared over 47 years of marriage before her passing. Corinne was a member of Sweet Home Baptist Church and she loved her church and her church family. She loved her grandchildren, the mountains, the outdoors, and trips to the beach. She was passionate about her gardening and trimming her trees. She was loved and will be missed greatly. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Allen; daughter, Ranita Rash Brown (Stephen) of Suwanee, Ga.; son, Brian G. Rash of Harmony; a grandson, Adam Brown; a granddaughter, Ella Brown, both of Suwanee, Ga. Also surviving are four brothers, Charles Cass of Clemmons, Don Cass (Barbara) of Mt. Ulla, Roger Cass (Tammy) of Sophia, NC, and Brent Cass (Heather) of Union Grove. Funeral service for Mrs. Rash will be held 3:00 pm Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at Sweet Home Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Blalock officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will visit with friends at the church prior to the service from 1:00 until 3:00 pm. Active pallbearers will be Galen Shumaker, Dean Baker, Steve Rash, Joey Sparks, Scott Coleman, Andrew Mitchell, Jason Shumaker, and Jamie Cass.
