Lois Baity

Emma Lois Deal Baity, 96, of Statesville, passed away Sunday, August 06, 2017 at Autumn Care of Statesville. She was born in Alberta, Canada on May 14, 1921 to the late George L. and Eulalia Alexander Deal. Mrs. Baity attended Cool Spring School and was married to Ralph C. Baity on March 16, 1940. They shared over 52 years of marriage before his passing in June of 1992. She had worked in textiles most of her career as a seamstress. Mrs. Baity was a member of Faith Baptist where she was a dedicated and faithful servant. Along with her parents and husband, Ralph, she was also preceded in death by a son, Carroll Clinton Baity; a daughter, Wanda B. Summers; four brothers; and two sisters. Left to cherish her memory are a son, Fred Joseph Baity; five grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and one sister, Joyce Summers. Funeral services will be held 6:00 pm Wednesday at Faith Baptist Church with Pastor Tim Lowery officiating. The family will visit with friends at the church prior to the service from 5:00 until 6:00 pm. A private family burial will be held Thursday at Iredell Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
