Linda Mason

Linda Lee Southard Mason, 74, of Statesville, passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at the Bryan Center Nursing Home of Mooresville. Mrs. Mason was born January 22, 1936 in Elkin, NC and was the daughter of the late Raymond and Ruby Wright Southard. She was a graduate of Elkin High School and was a housewife and later was the Manager of the Statesville Country Club. On October 21, 1955, she was married to the late Cutler Roland Mason, who passed away in 2007. Mrs. Mason is survived by five children, Kerry M. Primean of Chester, VA, Katie Mason of Statesville, Roland Kim Mason of Eau Claire, WI, Randall "Randy" Mason of Columbia, SC, Christopher "Chris" Mason of Statesville, 13 grandchildren and one sister, Faye S. McPherson of Houston, TX. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 6, 2011 in the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jason Harvey officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Nicholson Funeral Home. Nicholson Funeral Home is serving the family of Mrs. Linda Mason.
