Linda Lewin

Linda Lou Chapman Lewin, 76, of Statesville, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2012 at her home. Born January 8, 1936 in Iredell County, she was the daughter of the late Fred C. and Mary Rowena Saunders Chapman. She was a graduate of Iredell County schools and was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church. Linda was formerly employed with Beauknit, FCX and Flexknit where she worked as an office clerk. In addition to her parents, Linda was also preceded in death by one daughter, Cheryl Leigh Lewin Williams, one sister, Betty C. Norris and one brother, Jack A. Chapman. She is survived by one son, William Lewin (Lucinda Thomas) of Statesville, a granddaughter, Lyndsay Lewin of Rochester, NH, one great-granddaughter, Lola Marie Felch and one brother, Billie F. Chapman (Shirley) of Statesville. A graveside memorial service will be conducted 2:00 PM Saturday, March 3, 2012 in Oakwood Cemetery with Rev. Ed. Yarbrough officiating. The family will speak with friends following the graveside services.
