Linda Key

Linda Dixon Key, 77, of Statesville, passed away, Saturday, November 24, 2018 at the Gordon Hospice House.



Mrs. Key was born September 3, 1941 in Iredell County and was the daughter of Lillian Campbell Dixon Mabe and the late James A. Dixon. She was a graduate of Statesville Senior High and on May 10, 1971, she married the late Lawrence "Larry" Key, who passed away July 21, 2013. She was retired from the Accounting Department of Clark/Dana Equipment Company following 26 years of service. She was a fully devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, canning, traveling, spending time with her family and going to the beach. Through her illness, she enjoyed watching cooking shows and being visited by her loving family and friends.



In addition to her mother of Statesville, she is survived by two daughters, Dina Dagenhart Little (Rodney) of Statesville, Carla Key of Troutman; three grandchildren, Candace L. Horvath (Frank) of Statesville, Zachary Little of Statesville, Seth Penrose of Troutman; one great granddaughter, Harper Horvath of Statesville; two step granddaughters, Skylar and Morgan Penrose. Two sisters, Carolyn Roten of Statesville, Wanda Fox (John) of Statesville and several beloved nieces and nephews.



Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Wesley Memorial UMC with Rev. Chris Fitzgerald and Rev. Sharon Snow officiating. The family will visit with friends from 2:00-3:00 p.m. in the church commons area. Burial will follow in the Iredell Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
