Lillian Johns Norman

Lillian Johns Norman, 76, of Statesville, passed away Saturday, May 27, 2017 at her residence. She was born in Olustee, Florida on August 20, 1940 to the late Jesse Ray and Mildred Hodges Johns. Lillian attended Olustee City Schools and received her EMT Degree and CORT Degree (Certified Operating Room Technician). She was married to Michael J. Norman who preceded her in death. Lillian worked at Davis Regional Hospital and retired from Iredell Memorial Hospital after 30 years of service. Along with her parents and husband, Mike, she was preceded in death by six siblings. Left to cherish her memory are three daughters, Dianne Harrington (Richard), Karen Sampsel (Herbert), and Susan Martin; six grandchildren, Jesse Charles (Rachelle), Capt. David Charles USMC (Ashley), Shea Harrington, Kyle Harrington, Kaleb Fulbright, and Victoria Grace Martin; six great grandchildren, Summer Fulbright, Kaelyn Charles, Maylee Charles, Grayson Charles, Ayla Charles, and Reese Charles; and two sisters, Ruth Haspel and Billie Griffis. A Visitation will be held Tuesday evening, May 30, 2017 at Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel from 6:00 until 8:00 pm. A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Swift Creek Cemetery in Union County, Florida.
