Lillian Cloer

Mrs. Lillian Lambert Cloer, 83, of Statesville, passed away Friday, June 22, 2012 at Maple Leaf Healthcare. Mrs. Cloer was born January 7, 1929 in Alexander County, NC and was the daughter of the late Clarence Lambert and Carrie Grant Lambert. She attended Iredell County Schools and was married to the late James Philip Cloer, who died in 2000. She previously worked for Rental Uniform and was a member of Yadkin Baptist Church. Mrs. Cloer is survived by one son, Roger Cloer of Statesville, one daughter, Joyce Johnson (John) of Olin, seven grandchildren, Becky Weeks (Matthew) of Statesville, Kristi Grissom (Matt) of Statesville, Roger Cloer, Jr. of Statesville, Wendy Mathena of Statesville, David Johnson of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Terri Johnson (Ros Deal) of Statesville, Joe Johnson (Erica) of Olin, six great grandchildren, one sister, Pauline Stewart of Statesville and two brothers, Boyce Lambert of Statesville and Grady Lambert of Hickory. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Kathy Cloer, one grandson, John Johnson III and three brothers, Tom, Junior and Toby Lambert. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at Yadkin Baptist Church with Rev. Tony Bunton officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening 6:30-8:00 p.m. at Nicholson Funeral Home.
