Laurie Anne Clemens

Laurie Anne Root Clemens, 69, of Statesville, passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2017, at the Brian Center in Statesville. Mrs. Clemens was born in Niagara County, NY on May 12, 1947, and was the daughter of the late Bette Root. She was a graduate of John Marshall High School in Rochester, NY and she was a self-employed horse trainer. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her longtime companion Daniel McMillan. She is survived by her daughter, Danielle McMillan of Harmony and a sister, Gaye Mattys (Gerald) or Rochester, NY. She is also survived by her close family friends, the Vought family, the Winkley family, and the O'Shaughnessy family, all of the Statesville and Harmony area. A celebration of life will be held on a later date at the home of Danielle McMillan.
