Laura Ann Trivette

Mrs. Laura Ann Morrison Trivette, 85, of Statesville, died Thursday, May 4, 2017 at Iredell Memorial Hospital. Born in Iredell County on November 13, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Blake Lee Morrison, Sr. and Lula Valdora Hux Morrison. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Draper Trivette, Jr. Mrs. Trivette was a member of First Baptist Church. She enjoyed family and was a longtime Pink Lady volunteer at Iredell Memorial Hospital. She devoted her life to her family, both her children and in later years her brothers. She attended Mars Hill College and received her R.N. from Duke University Nursing School. Survivors include two sons, Joel Trivette (Leslie) of Quinton, Va. and Philip Trivette (Cyndi) of Wichita Falls, Texas, a daughter, Annette Trivette (Shane Levens) of Newburyport, Mass. Also surviving are grandchildren: Frances, Jack, Jaret, Charles and Thomas Trivette and two brothers, Robert and William Morrison, both of Statesville. Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at Oakwood Cemetery with Rev. Larry Gregg officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening at Nicholson Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M.
