Larry Randall Haynes

Mr. Larry Randall Haynes, 72, of Hamptonville, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2017. Mr. Haynes was born March 2, 1944 in Iredell County and was the son of the late Harding Haynes and Lillie Bess Pharr Haynes. He attended Harmony High School and was a member of Winthrop Friends Meeting Church. On July 4, 1987, he was married to Patsy Lee Shepherd Haynes, who survives of the home. He was retired from Ingersoll Rand Co. and was an avid woodworker, hunter, fisherman and enjoyed planting in his garden, especially tomatoes. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four daughters, Julie Troutman of Harmony, Tonya Spangle of Salisbury. Teresa Giddings (John) of Ellerbee and Sandra Biggs of Union Grove, seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, three sisters, Brenda Kale (Gerald) of Statesville, Kathy Renegar (Steve) of Harmony, Jane Rash of Olin and one four-legged son, his hound dog, Sam. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Carla McDaniels and two great grandchildren Mackenzie Grace and Bailey Faith McDaniels. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Winthrop Friends Meeting with Pastor Harold Salmons and Alex Grant officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Wednesday from 1:00-2:00 p.m. before the funeral service. Memorials may be made to Winthrop Friends Meeting and to the Statesville Dialysis Center, 627 Signal Hill Drive Extension, Statesville, NC 28625.
