Larry Dean Mitcham

Larry Dean Mitcham, 72, of Statesville, passed away Thursday, November 10, 2016, with his family by his side from complications of Parkinson Disease. Mr. Mitcham was born in Iredell County on June 28, 1944, and was the son of the late Clayton and Melzie Pearson Mitcham. He attended Iredell County schools and was married to Elizabeth Menscer Mitcham, who survives. He attended Redemption Baptist Church and was retired from Southern Screw. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Scott Mitcham (Dee Dee) of Statesville and one daughter, Amanda Mitcham (Tami Tyler) of Virginia. He is also survived by a brother, Jerry Mitcham of Ill and two sisters, Kimberly Mitcham of Statesville and Edith Bowen (Bruce) of NY. He is further survived by a granddaughter, Kellie M. Kiser (Mitch) of Statesville and five great grandchildren, Joshua and Johnathan Benfield, Samuel and Christian Mitcham-Gemes and Phenix Kiser along with several nieces and nephews. A celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, November 13, 2016, at 2:00 pm in the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Stutts and Scott Mitcham officiating.
