LaRonda Fox Feimster of 165 River Pointe Lane, Boone, NC 28607, left her mountaintop home for her heavenly mansion on Tuesday, August 14th. Laronda was born December 31, 1946 and was the daughter of the late John Marion Fox and Margaret Shumaker Fox. She was a graduate of Harmony High School, Class of 1965.
She is a member of New Salem Methodist Church in Statesville; but having established a permanent residence in the Boone/Blowing Rock community of Hound Ears in July 2017, she was attending Rumple Memorial Presbyterian Church of Blowing Rock until being incapacitated in October 2017 by treatments for an "Unknown Primary Cancer". Her battle was a courageous one which included a confinement of 45 days of continuous medical care in a hospital/rehab facility.
Survivors include two daughters, Trenny Feimster of Mooresville and Natalie Feimster of Olin; one son, Wesley Feimster (Erin) of Statesville; one grandson, Dylan Cornett of Olin; four granddaughters, Grace Marie Manners (Ben) of Statesville, Chloe Cornett of Olin and Ryleigh Feimster and Kinley Feimster of Statesville; two great grandchildren, Payslie and Solomon Manners of Statesville; one brother, Gary Fox of Statesville and her significant other for the past 15 years, Jack Elledge of Boone. She was preceded in death by her sister, Diane. Several nieces and nephews are left to cherish her memory.
LaRonda was a loving and caring Mother. She was concerned for the wellbeing of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren even as she battled Cancer. She was a loving and caring friend as well, always concerned for the happiness of her friends. She often made sacrifices, so others could enjoy. In short, she was a loving, genuine lady whose warm smile and radiance will be missed.
The family wishes to express their deep appreciation to all family members and friends for your kindnesses during her year long illness. Sincere gratitude is conveyed to many friends and the Hound Ears community of friends for all the cards, notes of encouragement and meals. You certainly made days much better with your compassion.
A Memorial Service will be conducted Saturday, August 18th at 3pm in the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverends Cindy Shelton and Beth Davidson officiating. Visitation will be immediately after the Memorial Service.
A Remembrance of LaRonda's Life will be held at the Hound Ears Clubhouse on Thursday, August 23rd at 3pm. Hound Ears Club Members, Hound Ears Non-Member Residents as well as family members and all friends are invited to attend this celebration of a life well lived.
The family will assemble at other times at the residence of Natalie Feimster at 1059 Tabor Road, Olin.
