Kenneth Wayne Kenny Wayne Truitt, 59, passed away Monday, July 13th 2020, at his home in White Lake, NC. Kenny Wayne was born on August 29, 1960 in Greensboro, NC to the late Robert and Geneva Truitt. He was a welder for many years at High Point Sprinkler in High Point, NC, and also served a number of years in the United States Army National Guard Reserves. He was a member of Christ Community Baptist Church in White Oak, NC. He had recently moved to White Lake, NC and had been spending his time simply enjoying the company of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed taking his grandchildren and great-grandchildren swimming in the lake near his home as often as he could. He is survived by his brothers Brian Truitt of Madison, NC and Ricky Truitt of High Rock Lake, NC, daughters Candy Roof, of Elizabethtown, NC, Pamela Truitt (Tom) of Woodruff, SC, Jennifer Truitt (James) of Lexington, NC. He is also survived by seven grandchildren Ricky Roof Jr (Christina) and Stone Roof, of Greensboro, NC, Thomas Murray, Katie Murray, Troy Murray, Andrew Murray and James Murray all of Woodruff, SC, along with two great-granddaughters Harper Roof and Willowdean Roof of Greensboro, NC. He was predeceased by his wife of 41 years Georgia Mae Sissy Truitt in 2018. He spoke often of how deeply he missed Georgia and how he hoped to be reunited with her soon. He was also predeceased by three brothers Ray, Rodney, and Alvin Truitt, and one nephew Joey Truitt. A private graveside service will be held at Old Bethel Baptist Cemetery in Woodruff, SC. The Family asks with gratitude that memorials be directed to 409 Chamblin St, Woodruff, SC 29388.
