Kenneth David Waugh

Mr. Kenneth (Kenny) David Waugh, Sr., 68, of Stony Point, died Saturday, October 22, 2016 at the Gordon Hospice House. Born in Iredell County on June 21, 1948, he was a son of the late Cecil Henry Waugh and Lula Dagenhart Waugh. He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Preston Charles Crawford, a sister, Louise Waugh and a sister-in-law, Judy Waugh Kenny was a brick mason by trade. He was a member of Marvin United Methodist Church where he was very active in the Methodist Men's Club. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and farming. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, the former Sylvia Shepherd, a son, Kenneth David Waugh, Jr. of Stony Point, a daughter, Sheila Crawford (Charlie) of Statesville, brothers, Marvin Henry Waugh (Carolyn) of Catawba and William Bryan Waugh of Stony Point, sisters: Mary Jean Summers, Martha Jane Day and Shirley Huffman, all Stony Point. Also surviving is a granddaughter, Madilyn Crawford. Services celebrating Kenny's life will be conducted at 4:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at Marvin United Methodist Church with Pastor Naomi King, Rev. Ron Setzer and Rev Robbie Waugh officiating. He will lie in state in the sanctuary while the family receives friends from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
