Kathi Sharon Fox Sherrill

Kathi Sharon Deal Fox Sherrill, 64, passed away Tuesday, August 15, 2017, at Wake Forest University Baptist Hospital. Born in Iredell County on June 29, 1953, Kathi was the daughter of the late James Cathey "JC" Deal and Marie Wilson Deal. She was a graduate of Statesville High School. She was married to David Sherrill, who survives. Kathi was formerly employed with the Iredell/Statesville Schools as a bus driver and was a member of New Sterling ARP Church She was an avid softball player, bowler, and golfer and one who throughout her life, a very active person. She will always be remembered for her energy and love of life; she could never be still. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Dori Fox Speaks, two grandsons, Carter Benge and Brady Speaks, all of the home. She is also survived by a sister, Doris Rash (Tony) of Pigeon Forge, TN and two nieces, Amanda R. Murphy (Tony) and Amber R. Jensen (Nate), both of Greenville, SC. She is further survived by three great-nephews, Logan, Channing, and Taylor Jenson. A memorial service celebrating the life of Kathi Fox Sherrill will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday, August 27, 2017, in the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Watson officiating. The family will visit with friends following at The Sharpe House, 402 S. Center, Street, Statesville.
