Karen Ann Nance

Karen Ann Weisner Nance, 48, of Statesville, passed away, Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at her home following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Nance was born May 3, 1967 in Iredell County and was the daughter of Benjamin Sidney Weisner of Statesville and Carolyn Queen Weisner Widner of Sebastian, FL. She was a graduate of North Iredell High School and was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church. Karen loved her dog "Dio" and enjoyed the outdoors and the beach. In addition to her parents, she is survived by a son, Shawn Wyne of Vero Beach, FL, a sister, Judy Witkowski of Vero Beach, FL, brother, Bradley James Widner of Sebastian, FL, paternal grandmother, Hazel Weisner of Statesville; two aunts, Susan Godfrey (Randy) of Mooresville, Lynda Ford of Vero Beach, FL; four uncles, Tony Weisner (Brenda) of Mooresville, Reggie Weisner (Vanessa) of Statesville, Brent Weisner (Liz) of AZ, Wayne Queen of Statesville, CNA friend for 7 years, Melanie Aquilar and a special appreciation to the nurses at Infusion Care. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Benjamin E. Weisner, Sr. and maternal grandparents, Belo and Nellie Queen. Memorial service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 19, 2016 at New Prospect Baptist Church with Rev. Josh Byrd and Rev. Michael Kilpatrick officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
