Julia Davidson Morrison Young

Julia Davidson Morrison Young 85 of Statesville NC transitioned on October 12, 2022, at Atrium Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston Salem. Julia was born on October 6, 1937, to William Louis Davidson and Louise Grant Davidson who precedes her in death. She was raised in Statesville NC in Old Field and attended Unity High School in Statesville School System. She earned her LPN through correspondence courses.

Julia is preceded in death by her father and mother William L Davidson and Louise Grant Davidson. First husband, Shedrack Smith Morrison and her second husband, Arthur Young Jr. Also preceding her in death is a brother William Earl Davidson, two sisters Joyce Davidson and Doris Davidson Wellman. And one great grandchild Anthea Lashae. She leaves to cherish her memory, two daughters, Linda Marie Morrison and Anary Morrison Bellamy (Taurus Bellamy); two stepdaughters, Kristina Young (Traci), and Katia Booker (Corey). She has one living sister Alice Faye Davidson Williams. She has six grandchildren Paul A. Morrison, Michael L. Morrison, Kashya Morrison Maxwell (Carlos), Amera Bellamy, Ja'leah Bellamy, Maria Bellamy; three step grandchildren, Kyra Booker, Kamar Booker and Londyn Young. She has 5 great grandchildren Cia-Xian Morrison, Alyssa Stamps, Ashlei Brooke Parks, Donovan Parks, Julia E Morrison, and one great-great grandchild Jayden Phelps. She had adopted son Anthony "Boo" Rucker. She has a host of nieces and nephews Glenda F Davidson, Anthony J Davidson, Michael Williams, Mark (Tammy) Wellman, Darren (Sharon) Wellman, Thomas L Morrison, Frank Morrison, Debra M Caldwell, Mary Caldwell, and a host of many more nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ms. Young was a lifetime member of The West Statesville Congregation of Jehovah Witness.

A Journey Celebration for Julia Davidson Morrison Young will begin at 12:30 pm, Wednesday, October 19, 2022, in the Chapel of Nicholson Funeral Home.
