Judy Sharpe

Judy Elaine Galliher Sharpe, 68, of Statesville, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at her home. Mrs. Sharpe was born September 25, 1948 in Iredell County and was the daughter of the late Flake Cecil Galliher and Virginia Binkley Galliher. She attended Harmony and Cool Springs Schools and on May 29, 1976, was married to the late Timothy David Sharpe, who passed away April 18, 2011. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church and was a self-employed hairdresser for over 40 years. She was very loyal to her customers and was very dedicated to her family. She enjoyed taking her grandsons to the pool, was a member of River Oaks Golf Club, loved playing golf and enjoyed playing Bingo. She is survived by her son, David Glenn Sharpe (Torie) of Statesville, two grandsons, Eli and Lane Sharpe, two sisters, Linda G. Hager of Mooresville, Peggy Inscoe Troutman of Taylorsville and two brothers, Boyce Galliher (Cathy) of Statesville, Tommy Galliher of Statesville. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three siblings, Larry Galliher, Hilda G. Inscoe and Bobby Jean Galliher. Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Bethel UMC with Rev. Naomi King officiating. Burial will follow the church cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Saturday 1:30-3:00 p.m. at the church. Active pallbearers will be Tim Galliher, Sean Carroll, Kevin Carroll, Shane Galliher, Ricky Benfield and Dwain Rhyne.
