Judy Lee Miller

Mrs. Judy Lee Hammond Miller, 67, of Statesville, passed away Friday, July 29, 2011 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, N.C. Mrs. Miller was born March 4, 1944 in Lansing Mich. and was the daughter of the late Leon Russell Hammond and Betty Jane Ross Hammond. She attended schools in Michigan and she was a homemaker. On November 24, 1962, she was married to David Wesley Miller, who survives. Mrs. Miller was a member of St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Miller is also survived by two daughters, Laurie Miller Everton and Tamara Miller Asher, along with one son, Michael David Miller, All of Statesville. She is also survived by one grandson, Jay Alan Miller of Marion, N.C. and one great-granddaughter, Amber Nicole Anderson of Harmony. She is further survived by four sisters, Barbara Kay Jones of Jackson MI, Sandra H. Love of Denver, N.C., Sharon H. Osborn of Statesville and Shirley H. Smith of Sylacauga, AL along with one brother, Greg Hammond of Holland, MI. Funeral services for Mrs. Miller will be conducted 11:00 am Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church. The family will visit with friends from 10:00 until 11:00 am at the church. Burial will follow at 1:00 pm Tuesday in the National Cemetery in Salisbury, N.C.
