Jr Tommy Hartline

Mr. John Thomas "Tommy" Hartline, Jr., 61, of Statesville, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 9, 2011 at Iredell Memorial Hospital. Born September 19, 1950, Tommy was the son of the late John Thomas "Johnny" Hartline, Sr. and Evelyn Francis Rhyne Hartline. He was a graduate of South Iredell High School class of '68 and received his degree in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. On April 5, 1969, Tommy married the love of his life, Judy Lynn Garrison Hartline. Tommy was the owner operator of Producers Financial Network and was a very successful Insurance Broker and Marketer. He was a kind and generous man with a giving heart. Tommy was very passionate for UNC Tarheels Basketball and shared his passion with family and close friends. He was also an avid reader especially of mystery novels, thrillers and loved his dogs, Rusty and Beemer. Tommy is survived by his loving wife, Judy Lynn Garrison Hartline of the home and their son, John Dustin Hartline. He is also survived by two sisters, Patty Hartline Eades and her husband Ted of Pawleys Island, SC and Carol Hartline Chapman and her husband Gene of Troutman. He is also survived by one brother, Mark Hartline of Troutman along with in-laws, Ben and Susan Garrison, Allan and Pam Garrison and Tommy Wingfield. He is further survived by seven nephews, Jonathan Eades, Brent, Todd and Ross Garrison, Hunter Chapman and Chris and Jamie Wingfield along with four nieces, Danette Eades Madison, Amanda Chapman Abernathy, Savannah Hartline and Mallory Garrison. Ten great nieces and nephews also survive. A graveside funeral service will be conducted 11:00 am Tuesday, December 13, 2011 in the Iredell Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Georgianne Satterfield officiating. The family will visit with friends Monday evening from 6:30 until 8:00 pm at Nicholson Funeral Home. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Humane Society of Iredell, P.O. Box 1617, Statesville NC 28687 or to the American Heart Association.
