Jr Jerry Moore

Mr. Jerry Lee Moore, Jr, 41, of Statesville, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at his home. Mr. Moore was born May 27, 1970 in Iredell County and was the son of Jerry Lee Moore, Sr. and Mary Fortner Moore. He attended Iredell County schools and he was self employed in construction. Mr. Moore was of the Baptist Faith. Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents along with a special aunt, Virginia Jenkins. Jerry's passion was fishing with his son Austin and the Washington Redskins. In addition to his parents, Mr. Moore is also survived by one son, Austin Lee Moore and two daughters, Elizabeth Paige and Tiffany Lynn Moore, all of Stony Point. He is also survived by two sisters, Donna Moore Rankins (Rhyne) of Stony Point and Brittany Leann Moore of Statesville. He is further survived by his cat, "Tigger". Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be conducted 7:30 pm Friday, May 25, 2012 in the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Marvin Boyer, Rhyne Rankins and Minister Milton Rankins officiating. The family will visit with friends from 5:30 until 7:30 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow 11:00 am Saturday in Oakwood Cemetery.
