Josephine Sande

Josephine H. Bunch Sande, 95, passed away Wednesday January 25, 2023.

She was born in Winton Salem, NC in 1927 to the late George and Minnie Hartman. Josephine was a graduate of Greensboro College with a Bachelors in Music concentrating in piano and the organ. She married Robert Bunch in 1950 they were together 41 years before his passing in 1991. Her life was involved in teaching piano, playing the organ and service in church music for 70 years. She married James N. Sande in 1998, they were together 22 years before his passing in 2020.

She is survived by her sons, Robert B. Bunch III and George C. Bunch, two granddaughters, Hilary Bunch Johnson ( Maurice Johnson, Jr.) and Robyn Mitchell ( Codi Mitchell), three great grandchildren, Damon, Addison and Arianna, 3 step-children, step-grandchildren and many other relatives.

A visitation will be held at Nicholson Funeral Home, Sunday January 29, 2023 from 4pm to 7pm. A graveside service will be held Monday January 30, 2023 at 2pm at Oakwood Cemetery.
